Kevin George Charity Donation made to the Coronary Care Unit,
Singleton Hospital
Friends and colleagues of City and County of Swansea employee Kevin George have arranged charity rugby and football games in his honour. Close friend Steve Jones represented Waunarlwydd RFC and colleague Gareth Govier represented City and County of Swansea. The events were held in the honour of Kevin who sadly passed away last year after suffering a heart condition for 11 years. Following the success of the charity events and the fundraising that was carried out a total of £5240 was raised and a memorial bench has been placed on the promenade alongside County Hall.
Kevin had worked for the City and County of Swansea for 23 years and had represented and supported his village team Waunarlwydd RFC over the same period. During his illness Kevin had been cared for on the coronary care ward at Singleton Hospital and it was the wish of his family that the money raised in his honour be presented to the coronary care ward at Singleton.

Waunarlwydd RFC is situated at the gateway to the beautiful Gower Peninsular, South Wales and caters for rugby at all ages. We have a strong Junior Section, running teams at all ages between Under 8 and Under 16, a Youth Section consisting of Under 17's and Under 19's, Seniors, Veterans and Womens Teams.
